Removal and Installation
1.
Remove the engine cover.
2.
Drain the engine coolant.
(Refer to Cooling System - "Coolant")
3.
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Intake And Exhaust System - “Air Cleaner”)
4.
Disconnect the water temperature sensor connector (A).

5.
Disconnect the radiator upper hose and the heater hose from the water temperature control assembly.
6.
Disconnect the water hose (A) and then remove the water temperature control assembly (B) with the O-ring.
Tightening torque:
9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)

7.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
  
Install a new O-ring when replacing the water temperature control assembly.
Clean the surface of the new O-ring, wet it with water and then install it.
8.
Fill the engine coolant.
(Refer to Cooling System - "Coolant")
9.
Start the engine and check for leaks.
