Inspection
1.
Connect the GDS on the Data Link Connector (DLC).
2.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
3.
Measure the output voltage of the APS 1 and 2 at C.T and W.O.T.
Specification: Refer to “Specification”
Removal
1.
Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
2.
Disconnect the accelerator pedal position sensor connector (A).
3.
Remove the accelerator pedal assembly from the vehicle after unscrewing the mounting bolt (B) and nuts (C).

Installation
1.
Installation is reverse of removal.
Accelerator pedal installation bolt:
8.8 ~ 14.7 N.m (0.9 ~ 1.4kgf.m, 6.5 ~ 10.1 lb-ft)
Accelerator pedal module installation nut:
12.7 ~ 15.6 N.m (1.3 ~ 1.6 kgf.m, 9.4 ~ 11.5 lb-ft)
  
When replacing or reinstalling the accelerator pedal, step on the accelerator pedal fully to the end for 1 sec in IG key on position.
Through this procedure, ECM learn full accelator position of the APS.
