Kia Carens: Interior Trim / Luggage Side Trim Repair procedures

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective
tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to
prevent damage.

Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces
to protect from marring the surface.
|

Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
|

Remove the third row seat.
(Refer to Rear Seat - "Rear Seat Assembly")
|
| 2. |
Remove the rear door scuff trim.
(Refer to Interior Trim - "Door Scuff Trim")
|
| 3. |
Remove the rear transverse trim.
(Refer to Interior Trim - "Rear Transverse Trim")
|
| 4. |
Push the second row seat towards the front of the vehicle as far as
possible.
|
| 5. |
Slighty remove the rear door body side weatherstrip.
|
| 6. |
Slighty remove the tail gate weatherstrip.
|
| 7. |
Remove the second row seat belt lower anchor cover (A).
|
| 8. |
After loosening the mounting bolt, then remove the second row seat belt
lower anchor (B).
|
Tightening torque :
39.2 ~ 53.9 N.m (4.0 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 28.8 ~ 39.8 lb-ft)

Remove the luggage lamp.
[LH]

Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the luggage lamp (A).
|
| (2) |
Disconnect the luggage lamp connector (B).

[RH]
| (1) |
Remove the luggage lamp (A).

|
| (2) |
After loosening the mounting bolt, then remove the luggage lamp
cover (A).

| (3) |
Disconnect the luggage lamp connector (A).

|

| 10. |
After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the luggage side trim
(A).

| 11. |
Disconnect the luggage power outlet connector (A).

|
| 12. |
Install in the reverse order of removal.

Make sure the connector are connected in properly.
|

|
Replace any damaged clips.
|

The high-pressure cooling system has a reservoir filled with year-round antifreeze
coolant. The reservoir is filled at the factory.
Check the antifreeze protection and coolant concentration level at least once
a year, at the beginning of the winter season, and before traveling to a colder
